Still trying to put xp clients onto new server
Posted by leigh martin on May 16th, 2006

I have read the article suggested to me in the previous posts but I cannot
have both servers running at the same time because they are the same machine
with the hard drives swapped out.
Let me try to ask my question another way.
I have been given an XPpro client that used to connect to a windows 2000
server domain which no longer exists. I want to use it to connect to my
SBServer 2003 machine how can I get the client machine to set up for use on
the new domain whilst keeping the emails which are stored on it and the
dexktop settings because the person who gave me the machine wishes to carry
on using it while working for me. Im still learning Please help

The Windows XP Files and Settings Transfer Wizard should do the trick. Look
it up in Windows Help.
