- USB Modem gets disconnected by itself
- Posted by Eric on April 7th, 2006
I have just upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows XP SP2. I find that my USB
modem turns itself off after a few minutes of going online. My motherboard
has the VIA chipset. I have updated with the latest drivers for the chipset,
USB and modem and I have turned off the power saving feature in the USB but
the problem persists. I tried my pci dialup modem and it also drops its
connection after a few minutes. I think its a network problem but there does
not seem to be any setting that I could change. Anyone have encountered a
similar problem?
Regards,
Eric
