- Win xp And Win 2000 Networking Problem

I have a system running win xp pro and a system running win 200 pro. They can
see each other, but on the network the xp system cant explore the 2000
system. But the 2000 system can explore the xp system. Also when playing
multplayer games, (e.g Age of empires 2) they see eachother but i cannot join
a game.
Can anyone help me?

On the Win2k machine create a user account which exactly matches the user
name and password used to log onto the XP machine.
Not sure about the game. However, if the XP machine is the server and the
firewall is enabled, you need to open the appropriate port. The correct
port varies by game. If you have SP2, you can simply create an exception
for the executable - See:

The symptom "cant explore" is pretty vague. There are several possibilities
here.
