Can I configure my computer to automatically look for
updates behind the scenes when I go online?

If you are using Windows 2000 SP3 or Windows 2000 SP4, there is an Automatic
Updates control panel (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel). Use this to
configure your automatic updates.
If you are using Windows XP SP1, or Windows 2003 Server, then you
right-click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties". there is an "Automatic
Updates" tab that you can use to configure auto updates.
