- AUTOMATIC UPDATE DOESN'T UPDATE - LOG FILE REMAINS EMPTY
- Posted by John on January 29th, 2004
Can someone PLEASE help me. My automatic windows update
doesn't work although it is set to on. There are no
messages errors in my windows update.log file because it
remains empty. Information only gets written there when I
manually update and then everything works fine. I search
MS Knowledge base but there are no solutions there to
this problem which is pissing off myself as well as many
millions of others. PLEASE HELP !!!

I have the same problem I'm afraid. No solution though...
Tried every setting with "Keep my computer up to date" i.e "Notify me before
downloading"/"Download the updates automatically" and "...on schedule that I
specify" without success. :-(
Suggestions anyone??!!
