Cant install updates with XP Home edition
Posted by Jon on November 4th, 2003

When I go to the windows update site it says that I am
not the administrator. There is only one account on my
XP Home Edition computer and it is the administrator. I
used to be able to install all the updates with no
problem. No I am not the system administrator. I even
tried creating a new account that was an administrator
and keep having the same problem. Any help would be much
apprecitated.

question? No body ever answered mine. I thought I'd write
you to see if you could tell me if there is some one that
responds to these questions. Does anybody ever get help
from this site? I think I'm being polite and asking for
help nicely and trying to sound pitiful. It dosent seem
to be working. Do you think some where, they're looking
at our questions and laughing at us? I thought this was a
help site,.....I guess not. If you have some useful
information...please respond. If its no inconvienence,
maybe you can tell me what the heck is going on at this
site. Thank you.
