- Corrupt Registry is replaced with old that works, but becomes corrupt again.

When I replace a corrupted registry with an older version
that works I am able to boot and everythings fine, but
when I restart the registry becomes corrupted again. I
tried saving the registry that works using scanregw, but
the new reg is corrupted as well. Any ideas on why the
current reg is becoming corrupted after a successful boot?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Bad hardware , most likely RAM or a viral infestation or the most likely
causes. Best to post this question in a newsgroup that deals with your
OS. This one is for Windows Update issues.
