I started downloading several microsoft updates last
night. While it was downloading I lost my internet
connection at sometime. The download bar says it complete
but the time remaining is the same as last night. I
logged back on my internet connection but it does not
seem to have picked up the download from last night. any
suggestions, i sure would hate to start over.

Hi Nic,

My suggestion would be to install what has been downloaded then reconnect
and download the remaining updates. Windows Updates downloads updates to
the WUTemp folder located in the root of the partition with the most
available free disk space. (ex. C:\Wutemp) Each update should be in it's
on separate folder.
