- Error 0x800C0005
- Posted by Bill on February 12th, 2004
Has anyone encountered this error before? I've never had
a problem with Windows Update until now. I upgraded my
AOL Instant Messenger earlier this evening and I hope
that didn't cause any problems.

First find what type of browser you use, then go to
microsoft and find the download section from there you
choose your browser to download, when you start downloading
you choose to customise your browser, you see the list of
what to install and try to think what will be affect in
your case and don't forget to click your browser. Then
start downloading.

Whatever the problem was it seems to have cleared up. I
tried running AOL IM as I did before and then went back
into Windows Update and didn't get any errors at all.
I also tried the test page and no problems.
