error 800A138F occurs when i scan for updates in the windows update
site
i've seen the troubleshooter in the website, but it useless.
i've disabled antivirus and firewall programs, and even deleted all
the content in Program Files\Windowsupdate and Program
Files\Windowsupdate\V4 except the iuhist.xml in the Program
Files\Windowsupdate\V4 folder. but this error still occur. what should
i do now?

do you have a router in line if so try disabling it
(bypass it by hooking modem direct). It worked for me

no, do not have any router,
it happened just from yesterday after i installed the update KB826939.
