I've downloaded updates that weren't completed and they've
listed as failed in my update history. I really want to
get some of them but there are no links or anything to
retrieve or retry the update. Thanks for the help.

Verify the updated did or did not successfully install at a later
time.
If they were not successful later, uninstall them in Add/Remove
Programs.
Download the update using the Windows Update Catalog:

Reboot
Disable all unnecessary applications including antivirus.
Manually install downloaded update.
