Please post the following information:
The version number for the following files
"wmpcore.dll"
and
"msdxm.ocx"
Both files can be found in the system or system32 directory
In addition, what's the version number listed in the following registry?

Click Start > Run
Type "regedit" (w/o quotes)
Press OK
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed
Components\{6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6} ]
Version = ???
Please post the informaiton then manually install the update from:
