how about a windows update cd?
Posted by ineverusemyrealname on March 5th, 2004

I have to load PC's at client sites and it adds twice the time to go through
the Windows Update process,

I'd like to have a Windows installation CD slipstreamed with every single
update (to date).

Does SUS version 2 include this functionality?

Hi

I would be very surprised if this functionality was included in SUS v2.

Anyway, you might want this one as as a starting point:

The free Windows Security Update CD can be ordered from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/cd/order.asp

The CD includes Microsoft critical updates released through October 2003
(and SP4 for Windows 2000 / SP1 for Windows XP) as well as information
to help you protect your PC.

Supports Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and
Windows 98 Second Edition (SE).

Alternatively (or additionally), you can script the installations
yourself, here are some links that might be of interest for you:

If you want to script the installs yourself, combine the information
at the sites referred to in A) and B) with the information in the

For Windows XP computers, take a look at this post for what
security updates you at least should download and for a
