- How to roll back an update - boot failure
- Posted by Darin on March 3rd, 2004
I just installed several critical updates to my Windows
2000 installation. Now I cannot boot. During the boot
process (safe, debugging, normal...) my machine reboots
itself again just as the progress bar on the Windows 2000
splash screen reaches the end. That puts it into an
endless reboot cycle.
How can I roll back this update?

Darin,
Which update did you install? Can you boot info Safe Mode?
Restart your computer in Safe Mode:
a. Restart the computer.
b. Press F8 for advanced startup options.
c. Choose Safe Mode and press ENTER.
