HP & sp1 update

I loaded all the critical updates & SP-1 Then I need to d/l the fix for
HP computers I did that and everytime I got back to the Update D/L site it
says I need to d/l the update for HP computers again the update installs
but it keeps telling me to get it
Is this a problem I need to address??
HP 520C
1.4 gig Processor
512 ram
400 gig HD's
XP home TIA

Hello Jack,

If the update installed OK then you don't need to reinstall it. Try
renaming the directory C:\Windows\System32\Catroot2 to Catroot2Old.
