- IE6 SP1 install incomplete
- Posted by rob on August 2nd, 2003
Today I attempted to install Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
Service Pack 1. The install failed. BASEIE40_MILL,
MobilePk_Mill, BRANDING.CAB, and AdvAuth are the
components that failed to install. Multiple attempts to
compete the install, both partial and complete, have
failed. I can not un-install the SP1, apparently because
it didn't get far enough to post itself to Add/Remove
Programs. A message is displayed each time at startup.
Any ideas how to remedy? Thx.

Was this caused by Windows Update?
Have you considered downloading IE6 from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...p1/default.asp it
may work and fix your errors. Let me know what happens.
