Installed updates still show as needing to be installed.
Example I have downloaded and install KB828026 and it
shows installed in the history, but whenever I go back to
Microsoft Updates it still is listed as needing to be
installed. I have done this a number of times.

Any ideas?

Ive been having same problems with update 823559, i
install it and a day or so later it send me a notification
i need it again, its been instaled over 24 times, whats
the deal.

i have the same problem with the same update installed 4
times so far
