- Installing older version of Windows with XP license
- Posted by Bo on November 5th, 2003
Can you use a Windows XP license to install an older
version of Windows? Some of our software vendors don't
support Windows 95 any longer and our hardware won't
support XP. (Yes we are in a mess1!
)Any suggestions
short of buying new machines will be appreciated.

operating system which is very close the xp system, but
supports most if not all hardware. If you buy a new
machine, all you will get is windows XP in it. Windows ME
is also a choice, but is not very stable. Too many
problems with memory etc...windows 2000 is built on NT
technology like Windows XP, and since installation over a
year ago, it has run like a dream.
