Hello.
My questions stems from a long line of problems that
keeps getting longer and longer the more I try to fix
them.
I guess the immediate question I have is why am I failing
to install and update from Windows Update?
I would like to install the "XIRLINK, Inc image Software
released on May 5 2003" driver update. I check it off,
review and install now, read and accept the license
agreement and the result keeps coming up as
NO UPDATS WERE INSTALLED. The following items failed to
install: Xirlink...... try installing them again.
I keep doing it over and over and it still says the same
thing.
I am very new to computers, so I have no idea of where to
start to figure this out.
The reason why I wish to get this driver update stems
back to not being able to get my new webcam going. I go
to the "device manager" and check on my imaging device,
and a yellow "I" is there. I try to re-install the
driver and an error message keeps coming up that "the
class installer has denied to request ot install or
upgrade this device". So, through the troubleshooting,
it led me to try to find a better driver, which i did not
have. Directed me to Windows Update, sure enough, I find
my webcam make driver update. Now I run into the first
stated problem!
I need all the help I can get.
