Have "successfully" installed update 4 times. The 3 registry values
mentioned in other messages from other users are set to zero. If windows
update keeps saying to install it, then it must be incorrect...and being a
critical update, I would like it to work. Any ideas? The update was done
once with Media player playing, all other times after booting the computer
fresh.

Which operating system are you running? Try installing the update from:
