I tried to install this patch at a NT machine in our company. It said
successfully installed, but it is still not installed. So far, that is
known.

Then I installed MDAC 2.8. I looked in the registry: MDAC version is
2.80, despite the fact that there is an entry for version 2.70, too.

But then I tried to install KB832483 again. The following is part of the
content of dahotfix.log in the windows folder:

Seems to me that is says nothing to do because all files are up to date.
But it is not shown in the software list, and windows update says I
should install it.
