Actually, I am using an antivirus software from a Romanian company, the name
is GECAD company, and it seems a good company as they declare on their web
pages. I have to say that it is good software, because it looks inside the
archives of microsoft outlook (not express) and say me if there are some
virus inside the mails or not.
The question is that, some time ago, I realized that cause of this software,
it was impossible to install newest updates from microsoft. So I had to
uninstall this software and reinstal again after it was made the update.
Could you be so kind and say me if anyone of you has had a similar
experience with an antivirus software, and, in the case , with the software
of this company ?

If the antivirus is configured to block active x controls Windows Update
will fail to initialize. What error were you getting? Is there options
available to configure the program? Is there a place to add the Windows
Update site?
