What is more, SCO hyped up these lawsuits to imply they were copyright
infringements by using Linux.

The claims made in these suits are 'contract' claims that are only
possible to lay if the outfit deing sued has previously had a AT&T
type (including SCO) UNIX licence. They could not be laid against any
outfit that had never touched UNIX.
