'Open source software has come of age, and open source working methods
are spreading beyond computers'
Long but interesting article.

Hi Roy.
A reasonably comprehensive picture of the free software world, from
inception to today, I thought, including a thoughtful analysis of how
free software working methods have impacted a range of other areas.
I was amused by the piece about Steve Ballmer/Microsoft attacking Linux's
security, and how that has backfired...
The bits about new business models and changing approaches to intellectual
property are filled with insight.

Hehe - thanks for the greeting. It's encouraging to see some familiar
folk here.
It does seem to me that the s/n ratio as degraded somewhat, but that
might be that I just haven't got my killfile setup properly yet.
Cheers,
