i recently installed a broadband modem, easy to do, but
shortly after doing so a new mysterious log on id
appeared on my start up screen (XP) caled "cclogin" where
did this come from? what should i do about it? i also
got the blaster worm which i downloaded patches for, is
it still in my system? and now i cant send or recieve
mail from explorer 6 although all my settings are correct
(as far as i can tell) is it terminal?

Did you first enable your firewall before plugging in the modem? If not,
you are now most likely infected with any number of nasty worms and trojans.
Plus, you have also probably been hijacked. Download and run HiJack This!,
Pest Patrol, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Disable the restore
utility as worms hide in the restore points.
