- OE deleting attachments on E-Mails
- Posted by on March 7th, 2004
Ever since I installed the "Windows" updates from the week
of March 1st, I am having problems with attachments on e-
mails. Outlook Express deletes them before they can be
read and there are no viruses in these attachments. Is
anyone experiencing these similar probems?

The best option, as I see it, is to click "forward" on the message that
contains the attachment you want, and open the attachment from there. You
don't have to hit "send" on the forwarded message - you can just close it.
If you want to disable the blocking feature entirely, do so in tools,
options, security - untick the box that says "do not allow attachments to be
.....". Whichever method you choose, make sure you are using good antivirus
software that can scan e-mail and that you keep it updated regularly.
