Onboard Intel 82810 graphics controller hangs system?
Posted by Roger Yarter on August 11th, 2003

I have an IBM computer with an onboard Intel 82810
graphics controller and the system will hang (hard hang
as the ctrl/alt/del key secquence will not work). The
only way to get the computer working again is to power it
off and restart it. I downloaded a new device driver
from Intel and install it and it helped some, but I still
get system hangs every now and then.
Is there a fix for this problem??

Thank you in advance, Roger

Visit the IBM support web site and search for the latest
drivers applicable for your specific operating system and
IBM computer. If you have an IBM ThinkPad, it is best
to install IBM's graphics controller drivers. Make sure
to install "all" the latest IBM drivers as shown on the
IBM web site.
