On certain websites, the pages do not download completely
if at all. I have to refresh several times before the
page completely downloads.
I have tried everything I know of but nothing so far has
helped. This problem suddenly appeared about a month
ago and it was not an issue when I first bought the
computer and hooked up DSL. Can anyone figure out this
problem? I have XP and a very fast VAIO computer.

I don't think this is a Windows Update problem. One of the other MS
newsgroups - probably an IE group - is more likely to be able to help:
