PROBLEMS W/OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6-RECEIVEING MAIL
Posted by Melding Graziani on March 7th, 2004

Can send mail, but not receive. It has to do with the
identities and password. The first time when I tried to
set up the program I change the "new identity", (which
apparently is a default), and also put a password. Because
I wasn't able to receive, I tried to reverse the setup and
it has been imposible, I belief at some point I forgot the
password and it just doesnt allow me to receive or to
reset the identities and password, because I don't
remembere the first password that I put there.

I remove the Outlook Express and all the components. I
downloaded again from WIndows, but when I open it to
setup again , the box with my name opens and I can't do
anything.

Would it be possible that some of the components still
there. I thought that by removing the program and
reinstalling would allow me to start from scratch, but it
keeps showing my user name and asking me for a password
that I can't remember , in order to be able to reset a new
password. This is a mess. I want to change from my Aol
to Outlook, but I cant reverse the first setup on Outlook
and can't start a new one.

Is it possible that the Internet Tools on Internet
Explorers contains part of those components from Outlook,
and that's why it keep showing my old setup. Should I
just totally remove Iternet Explorer and reinstall it.
Would that change configurations or create any problems?

Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanking you in advance
