SAVING WINDOWS UPDATES

Hello:

I would like the option to SAVE my windows and critical
system updates into a folder of my choice after the
installation and applying of the patches are complete. Is
there a way to do this?

I have read that upon a CLEAN install of XP, the patches
need to be insatalled in a certain order or it fails to
update. Windows Update arranges that order correctly for
me....but how do I do it manualy?

Usually, the order is not relevant, at least if you run qchain.exe before you
reboot. But if you are going to install a service pack (SP) you should always
install the SP first and do a reboot before you continue to install other
updates.
