- Service Pack
- Posted by Tom on November 12th, 2003
I have a Win2KPro as a operating system installed.
Here is the problem, after I install Service pack 3 or 4,
I cann't connect to the Internet.
It will try to find the site by DNS, then ip address....in
the end no host. No server!?!?!?
When I uninstall the service pack, I can connect to the
Internet again.
Anyone can help me???
Thanks

Hi Tom,
To diagnose the conflicts with the service pack, I recommend:
1) Post on the Windows 2000 newsgroup for suggestions from the Windows 2000
MVPs. Here's a couple links.
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof....win2000.setup
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...in2000.general
2) Create a Support Case for one on one troubleshooting:
http://support.microsoft.com/
Select the "Contact Microsoft" link and a new web page will load. If you'd
like to submit a request for support using your phone, then click on the
"Phone Numbers, Support Options and Pricing" link for phone number
information. If you'd like to submit a support request over the Internet,
then click on the "Submit a Request for Online Help" link.
