- Several XP Service Pack 1 installations 'In Progress' at once
- Posted by Dave on March 7th, 2004
I re-installed Windows XP pro. I then tried to install
the windows XP Service pack 1 from the Ms site - it kept
hanging after half an hour - when it reached
the 'Creating restore point'. THEN I realised I should
have been in the Administrator account, so tried there.
Looking at 'View installation history' there are several
installations still 'In Progress' - even after clearing
out my WindowsUpdate\V4 directory.
What can I do to remove these hanging processes? in order
to sccessfully install this SDervice Pack??
Cheers
