- SWEN virus

Has anyone had and then got rid of the SWEN virus. I have
it and the e-mails are 25 to 114 daily. I have scanned
using McaFee, Stinger, Fixit! and not one of those has
found it. That's another WHY NOT. I was told I might
need patch MS01-020 but I can't seem to find it .
Although the computer is running fine (until when) I would
like to get rid of this virus.

Lynda,
Did you ever install the attachment with the email?
If the answer is no, you don't need to worry. Otherwise you need to remove
the virus using something like: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/FixSwen.exe
With regard to stopping the emails from coming, this is proving harder than
most expected and I know that Microsoft are still working on it.

Again thank you since all I've been doing is using scan
ware after scan ware and I'll take your suggestion and
wait for further remedies from MS.
