sympatico is blocking the windows update dns,and i can't
resolve the new dns for theupdate site to work around this
anyone have the latest dns numbers for this im not sure
that my terminology is correct but thats what i need to
get these system going for customers

Thanks for posting . Could you please run an IPCONFIG and post the results?

Run Ipconfig

Click Start > Run
Type "cmd" (without quotes)
Click Ok
At the command prompt type
"ipconfig /all" (w/o quotes)
Press Enter

For Windows98/ME
---------------------
Click Start > Run
Type "msconfig" (without quotes)
Click Ok
-----------------------

The Windows IP configuration results will appear.
The results include numerous IP addresses.
We need the DNS and WINS (if applicable) IP addresses.

Please post back the results. This will help us further investigate the
DNS errors.

Talked to Sympatico this morning, they are aware of this
issue and have people working on it. Thats all they tell
me. I'm getting really pissed off becuase i can't
complete updates for customers that have problems I need
