Begining 8/11/03 unable to disconnect from my internet
connection as normal by clicking "disconnect" on the task
bar icon.

On 8/12 my windows based accounting program began
diplaying an error "a problem occured while communicating
w/ the OLE server or ActiveX control.....

Yesterday, I received an error message while using Excel.

I shut down or restarted the computer in each case to
complete the task.

Once "install now" is selected on windows update page,
nothing happens.
