I've emailed Microsoft back in Nov 2003 and have heard
nothing but a new update number showed up finally on my
update for Win Me system. But the results are the same so
I have to restore back to before the load of the patch.
Here is the problem. Now I can't find the link to report
a bad patch. I don't think they care.

There is a problem with this Microsoft patch. Cumulative
Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (KB824145). I
had to do a restore to the day before my download date.
If I do a right mouse click on Start and select Explorer
then do a left mouse click on My Documents, or My Network
Places or My Computer it did not take me to the links, it
just highlights to a different colour. Once I did my
restore to the date before I downloaded the patch, my
problem went away. I have send an email to Microsoft. If
anyone has a link to this known problem with a new
download link then please post it...thx

Also this new patch that is available Feb 2004, causes
the same problem. What do I need to do now?
