- update
- Posted by paynemj on November 7th, 2003
I have been told I should do Windows Update. I did run
the scan for Windows Update and it indicated that I needed
22 updates. I have never done an update.
How do I know what updates to choose?
Will the Update replace what is already installed, or will
it take up more memeory?
How does a complete novice know what to do with all of the
suggestions?
The reason I was told to try an update is because I am not
being able to open some attachments that my friends send
me.
Your non-technical/layman language help would be
appreciated.

Choose those marked as critical. Do them one at a time. Don't run any
virus scan programs in the background as you download them, or any other
unnecessary programs for that matter.
