- update?
- Posted by mherm on February 8th, 2004
Q: I just checked the microsoft security updates recommended for my computer and 44 downloads were recommended. Do I need them all? Wouldn't this take up a lot of space? What should I add? What about the other updates? Thanks.

You should be checking more often, every few weeks at the longest,
automatic is better.
Install ALL Critical Updates.
Install the Recommended Updates that you determine apply to you.
Get drivers directly from the computer manufacturers.
