Went to the update site as I just installed Windows 2000
professional. I have 34 updates to install. I have tried
numerious times to install them but they never finish.
They look like they download but when downloading is done
they just wont install. What Is UP with that?

There is a known issue with the AOL browser not being able to install
updates from the Windows Update site. Sign on to AOL, minimize it,
either use Internet Explorer for the updates or use the shortcut on the
Start menu... always temporarily disable your antivirus program, disk
utilities (re: Norton "anything"), and any other 3rd party software that
relates to internet activities ( pop-up stopper, internet "speed"
boosters, download managers, etc. ).
