USB / DIGITAL CAMERAS

mich,
Many people have problems directly connecting a camera via USB to
transfer the pictures to the PC. Luckily there is a better way to do
it. Determine what kind of memory card you camera uses -- compact
flash, memory stick, whatever. Then get an adapter that you put the
memory card into and plug the adapter into the USB port. The memory
card will appear in My Computer as a removable disk. You can then use
Windows Explorer to copy the pictures to your hard disk.
Most any computer store will have the adapters. There are some adapters
that will handle a whole bunch of different kinds of memory cards.

All of this assumes that your USB port is actually working. It would be
good if you could test it out with some other known working USB device.

Good Luck,
Larry
