- What do updates look like?
- Posted by Slinger Jansen on February 27th, 2004
Hi
I'm Slinger Jansen and I'm a phd-researcher at the university of Amsterdam
What I would like to know is what update files really look like. Are the .exe files simple scripts that overwrite certain files like hotfixes? The reason why I'm wondering is because I am interested in the mechanisms for updates. Where can I find more info on this? Are there formal descriptions or should I start bugging developers
Best
