I have the same trouble each time I update with service
pack 4 for win2k. I am using an adsl modem thru a realtek
network card. When SP 4 is installed I can succesfully
ping remote addresses using commandprompt, but
applications such as IE, Norton liveupdate & windows
update cannot access the pages. All IPs seem to be
unchanged and correct. When I uninstall SP 4 everything
works again. I am using Zonelabs Zone Alarm (free version)
firewall.

Has anyone encountered this problem and/or found a
solution?
