I have a problem with my OEM version of XP. Using the CD,
I tried to use the update feature and setup began. Then
the system reboots and the system goes into Safe Mode.
Then a message appears and says "Windows XP setup cannot
run under Safemode. Setup will restart now." Of course, it
then just reboots to the same thing. I cannot get back
either to Safe Mode or normal bootup because of this. I
then booted from the floppy and went through the setup
procedure again and selected repair. It started copying
files and then booted into Safe Mode.

If this is Windows Update related please post more information.
If not, you may want to post in operating system specific newsgroups.
