while attempting to install the SP1 update into windows XP
home
edition, I recieve an error questioning the integrity of
the
"update.info" file. when i follow the "more info" link, i
am asked if
"cryptographics are running". running msconfig, i see the
it is indeed
running. many of the other windows updates also won't
install and take
an extremely long time trying to install them. what is the
problem and
how do i correct it?
