Is there a specified address(s) or range of IP addresses
that can be specified to reach the WINDOWS Updates. This
is needed to allow the access through a firewall.

Windows Update requires both port 80 and 443 to be open for both
for incoming & outgoing traffic.

I am using a Cisco PIX and need to enter in specific IP addresses to allow for windows updates. Is there a list to enter? Does the list go forever? How do I make this work? When did this go into effect? It may be secure for Microsoft but it makes it hard to make my network secure going out.

Is there any other way to roll out updates other than going to the windowsupdate site?
