Hello !
I 've had headaches and I'm also getting a bit grouchy due the
unintelligible behaviour of Windows Update(WUD). The problem relates
especially to two critical patches Q822925 and Q811493. The problem is that
although I only just updated my Windows XP Pro with theese patches WUD
doesn't recognize this and lists them as critical updates over and over
again. Therefore I have updated them repeatedly but with the same result. I
also sometimes get the message that the update process was unsuccessful and
therefore also repeated the update for that reason. This is confusing since
all the time I can see that the patch or hotfix Q811493 shows up in "Add
Remove Programs" in control panel as installed and that Q822925 is listed
among the update versions listed in the "About Internet Explorer" dialog
box.

Otherwise I have no problems with my system and everything seems to function
properly except that once in a while, when I do searches on my computer
using the search function, the Explorer.exe process gets complete hold of
the processor and consumes it to 100% and will not stop until I stop it and
then restart it all over.

What would you do with such a tenacious little monkey?
