- Posted by Smitty on July 30th, 2003
I just reinstalled my windows 98. Now then when I go to my
toolbar in startup and select Windows update on top to
wont go to site. I get
(http://windows.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?
OLCID=0x0409&CLCID=0x0409&OS=at&PRD=windowsupdate)
But not the site it should go to
(http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp)
I can go manualy but when I use C:\WINDOWS\WUPDMGR.EXE it
won't go there. anyone know how to fix this?

Are you preventing HTTP redirects?
Check in Internet Options Security tab for
Allow META REFRESH
(doubleclick on the security zone icon, click on Custom Level...
type AL and make sure Enable is set.)
