Interestingly electronic software has been the province of MICROS~1 for
quite awhile and it's not the stability or open source of GNU/Linux that
seems to be compelling the MICROS~1 users to change OS, rather it's the
restrictive licensing etc that is the impetus.

I think MICROS~1 was always doomed, the pc market was bound to level off
one day and no one likes their last ditch revenue raising licensing schemes.
