Ok I once went through all the windows updates (including
Windows XP SP1) and everything was fine and installed
smoothly.

I then had to at a point restore my computer to a time
before i installed all these updates (a graphic error i
needed to fix).

Now all the other critical updates install fine except
Windows XP Service Pack 1. The error i get when
installing this says that it isn't compatible with my
version of windows.

I run Windows XP Home Edition on my computer and this
update before has installed smoothly but ever since i
restored my computer and required to reinstall this
update it fails to do so with the above error message.

I would appreciate any feedback to this situation.
