I am unable to update windows xp. After I select an
update, a contract window comes up and asks if I accept
the conditions, but provides no way to accept; no
buttton, no special key stroke I can find, no luck.

You can correct this temporarily by going to:
\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Edit the
HOSTS
file.

Enter the following line:
208.172.158.234 download.windowsupdate.com
